Santa Picture 2009 - 2006

I have had a hard time deciding on pictures for the Christmas card this year. We headed over to the Gaylord to try to get a picture that is just right! Santa was there + boys in coordinating outfits = one more thing checked off the list! Cade asked for a DSi. Nate wants changing color cars. Chase and Dylan both want iPod touches. We will see how good they have been! Check out Santa pictures from years past.

I used to be able to move pictures around in Blogger, but not anymore. Oh well. Enjoy the pictures in crazy order.

Snow and Silliness

The boys were so excited to wake up to snow!!! Too bad it was gone by noon. It was pretty while it lasted.

A major parenting weakness of mine can be summed up in one word: MORNING. A good "morning" mom I am not! Want a hot and nutritious breakfast? Then you better go to someone else's house. At our house, it is serve yourself. This catches up to me at times. Like when Cade comes home from school with this on. Yes, he wore a pullover as a shirt. Isn't it a good look?

Nate had to be in a picture. I let him, because I think he is cute :)

Museum School Stories

I have no idea what Nate's teachers must think about us. One week, the class learned about skunks. That week Nate shared the story of how his daddy got sprayed by a skunk in the face. Another week, they learned about lizards. Nate kindly graced them with the story of how Mark shot a lizard's head off and how the lizard had babies inside that Chase cut out of it. True story, but one I wish he would not have shared. (Sidenote, I thought that all lizards laid eggs until this incident. Turns out that some give birth. Also, the babies survived - 2 came to live at our house for a while). Last week, they learned about Indians and buffaloes. Nate shared that there are buffaloes at the farm, so I clarified that Nate has an eccentric great uncle who has buffaloes. Topic next week, DEER!!! Nate has already shared that his daddy shoots deer. Oh my!

See my cute little Indian? He is not a fan of things on him like necklaces or hats. He agreed to put these on for a picture. They immediately came off! He was wearing them when I picked him from museum school only because his teachers asked him to wear them until his mommy saw him. The minute he saw me, off they came!

The Pain and Torture

Chase is not a fan of "church" clothes. It is torturous for him if we ever "make" him wear a shirt with a collar. Please! Guess what?! He has to wear really dressy clothes for his band concert. I found these gems for him to wear (complete with clip-on tie). He is THRILLED, or not ;)

Cousin Pictures

While we were at the farm, we had a cousin picture made to give to my mom for Christmas. Here are some of the best ones.

Emily was not fond of this pose, and Chase kept closing his eyes.

Moon Sand

Nate loves his new Moon Sand. He loves it so much! I guess the mess is worth it.

Snow!

The boys were thrilled to wake up to snow on Sunday morning. Unfortunately, they were barely able to play in it since we left for church and then home.
